The BM-10 Dynamic headset uses a dynamic microphone element designed specifically for amateur radio use. This 600 ohm dynamic element will work with most amateur radio rigs including Kenwood and Yaesu. An AD-1 Adapter is required. Note: To use dynamic mic elements on vintage radios (requiring a high impedance input of 10k to 30k ohms) will require the use of an XT-1 impedance matching transformer.
The microphone audio for the BM-10 series terminates into a 1/8” mono plug while the headphone terminates into a 1/8“ stereo plug (1/8” to 1/4” adapter included). The inline Push to Talk (PTT) terminates in a 1/4” mono plug. The cable features a built-in PTT button with a convenient clip on the back to keep it in place.
The use of the AD-1 series mic adapters allows simple interface with popular transceiver inputs. The adapter cable has a 1/8” female input jack for the headset microphone. The 1/4” female connector that exits the adapter is the PTT line for the Heil foot switch or hand switch.
