Edge 1040 Solar is powered by the sun and packed with everything under it. It’s Garmin’s first GPS bike computer with solar charging,so you can ride longer and get even better coverage in the most challenging environments. Solar charging adds up to 20 minutes of battery life per hour during daytime riding¹.

The Edge 1040 series represents Garmin’s first GPS bike computers with multi-band GNSS technology for even better coverage under dense tree cover, on remote mountain trails and even in the urban canyon. It’s also packed with performance features that help you understand your strengths and weaknesses to coach you through any challenge. It can even help you manage your efforts by providing power targets² throughout a course and stamina² feature insights, so you know how much gas is left in the tank. NEW! SRAM AXS INTEGRATION

Control and configure the data pages on your compatible Edge® cycling computer by using SRAM electronic shifting, so you can keep your hands on the handlebars and focus on the ride.

NEW! PIN DROP NAVIGATION

Drop a pin to share points of interest (POIs) from the Maps app on your iPhone® to the Garmin Connect™ app. Then you can sync to your smartwatch for easy routing. You can even save those POIs to a library on your device.
