Tread XL – Baja Chase Edition was purpose-built for support trucks and includes heavy-duty suction cup and mounting hardware for easy portability from one truck to another. Both navigators feature team tracking with built-in inReach® technology¹ to see the live positions of your race team and the ability to message each other with global satellite coverage. Simply import the course files to view the course, virtual checkpoints, pit locations and race mile markers — and even add custom pacenotes. During the race, view waypoints and pacenotes for sharp turns, poor traction and other hazards to stay prepared for what’s up ahead. Never settle for anything but your best with the track recorder feature, which uses a splits/lap timer to record performance and help improve racing times.

MOUNTING HARDWARE

Baja Race Edition includes the Tread XL Baja Dock for easy push-button control; panel mount the device directly to the dashboard, or use the bail mount to secure. The portable Baja Chase Edition includes a heavy-duty suction cup and vehicle power cable to easily move from one support truck to another.

EXTERNAL ANTENNAS

Get enhanced performance with the robust external GPS antenna and external inReach antenna. Both are in low-profile, water-resistant housings and have many installation options. These are included with the Baja Race Edition and sold separately for use with the Baja Chase Edition.

GPX COURSE FILE-COMPATIBLE

Easily import GPX files to view course start/end, racetrack line, virtual checkpoints, pit locations and race mile markers.

PRERUNNING TOOLS

Create custom pacenotes — such as “sharp turn,” “stepdown” or “danger” — to help anticipate obstacles and navigate your most efficient route through all virtual checkpoints.

TRACK RECORDER

The track recorder helps drivers record their performances and improve their race times by saving splits/laps.

SATELLITE IMAGERY

Downloadable high-resolution satellite imagery shows vivid aerial views of your surroundings; for added convenience, satellite imagery for the North Baja Peninsula comes preloaded on the device.

WORKS WITH DIGITAL SWITCH BOX

The navigators are compatible with the Garmin PowerSwitch™ digital switch box (sold separately) to control your vehicle’s 12-volt electronics, such as rock lights, fans and air pumps.
